desk:
husband's office

01/12/2014 - 01/23/2014

My husband was changing out his office furniture. I asked if I could build him a farm house style desk.

I wanted to give it more of a office feel, so I stained it with ebony stain (one of my favorite shades of stain). We both loved how it turned out. Unfortunately, he left it there  when we moved to IL. Hopefully someone else is enjoying now.

desk:
best friend's
new office

04/01/2015 - 05/10/2015

One of my best friends made the choice to take a job that would allow her to work from home. She asked me to make her a couple desk/tables that would work well in her kitchen nook area.

It gave me a chance to get some friend time and build time.

Two of my most favorite things.

desk:
daughter's room
03/11/2017-03/14/2017

After our move to the beautiful state of IL, my daughters bedroom finally had room for a desk.

She wanted something simple. She also wanted a little shelf for extra do-dads. This was an easy but fun build, since I had never used the hairpin legs before.

desk:
refurbish
06/03/20-06/14/20

A friend sold this desk to me for $20.

I thought it would be a fun piece to refurbish and sell. I sanded entire desk, painted top with black interior paint, black chalk paint on sides and drawers, and stained the trim with honey colored stain. I added some vintage glass knobs that were probably worth more than I paid for the desk.

I love the final result.

I sold the desk on Marketplace a week later.
