barn doors

barn door:
daughters room
11/01/2017 - 11/03/2017
I forgot to take a photo of just the barn door after I made it and before we moved away. It was one of my favorite days when renovating the basement.

It was the 1st barn door I made, and the 1st barn door track I installed. It was a very exciting moment placing it on the track and seeing how it worked so easily.
Way better experience than installing the bedroom door all by myself.

(The lamp was in the closet while I was painting the shelving I had built.)

yellow barn door
03/01/2018 - 03/07/2018
This yellow barn door was built here to hide my work/
storage/utilities room. I wanted to add a little pop of color in the basement. My daughter picked out this beautiful shade of yellow that was perfect for the room.

I also built the dartboard wall.

friend's beachy barn door
07/10/2018-07/13/2018
My friend decided to renovate her beach condo. I was dying to help with the process. Unfortunately, the process started the same time we found out we were moving back to NC.

Luckily, she saved the barn door build for me. I was thrilled since it was a different style door than I built before. She wanted several (4) paint colors to give it that beach vibe.

We both fell in love.

artsy barn door

OMG... have to say this is one piece that I was more excited about building than anything I had ever built.

There was originally two small doors that led you into the master bathroom. I took those down and replaced them with this barn door.
The door handle I bought at an antique festival.

I decided to build a couple barn doors and try my luck at selling on FB Marketplace. This door was my first attempt. After a few days I decided to have some fun with it and stained it multiple shades. Since then I have built many more.

barn doors:
bonus room
06/29/20- 07/03/20
A new neighbor asked me to build a couple 2-panel barn doors to close off her bonus room.
Stained with Varathane "Honey" for a natural look. These are the longest doors I have built to date, measuring in at 104" long.
