Signs are an interesting thing. It seems like recently they have become more popular. With sayings, quotes, jokes, or just something that makes you smile.
The more I thought about all the locations we have had a home, I decided it would be fun to have it all written down in one place. I made this sign for my husband for our anniversary.

I loved the idea of making a sign with loving sentiments about someone you love. It was fun coming up with just the things that make up a special someone.I gave it to my daughter as a birthday gift.

I was so excited that one of my niece's was getting married.
I was more excited when she accepted my offer of making signs for her special day. She sent me photos of what she wanted and then I created them for her and her fiancé.
She loved them.

Since my family found out we were moving, my tennis team was a little sad. I wanted to make a couple team motto signs for some of the girls before I left.

The BEER sign was discovered while one of my friends was traveling.
Since our team name was "SERVE ACES" or CERVESA'S it was perfect.

It seemed that A LOT of laundry was being done in our house.

Maybe something to do with my son playing soccer, or my daughter in dance.
​
Either way, it gave me a fun project for a few days. OK, maybe I just needed another project involving wood.

For my in-Laws anniversary I wanted to make them something special.
I decided to paint them a sign with all the grandchildren's names on it, in order of first born to last born.
I also decided to paint the girls names in cursive and the boys names in large print so they would all stand out more.

One of my best friends lives on a beautiful lake in Wisconsin. The kids and I stayed with her for a week before our move back to NC.
I have been dying to build and paint this sign. Since I don't live on a lake, this was my perfect opportunity.

I always love making gifts for my best friends before going to visit them.
Before one of our annual visits to Beech Mountain I decided to make these cute signs.

To me it is even more funny since the three of us use readers for almost everything close-up.

With the large double door porch area at our home in Florida I wanted to make it more welcoming. I decided a bench (bedframe bench shown also) and a welcome sign would be perfect.
I wanted to make it more useful by putting something on the opposite side.

I painted believe so I could just flip over and use for the holidays.
As you can see below, I have used at our last 3 homes.

After moving to Florida, I decided to start playing tennis again in order to meet some ladies. It worked. I made some friends I will have forever.

One of which was my co-captain on our team. I made her this sign after a few seasons together, just to show my gratitude for all her hard work and the friendship we created.

I wanted to make something special for my dad for his birthday, especially since I was planning a trip to visit him.

I decided that I would make him a sign similar to the one I made my daughter, but of course to use words that described him.

I loved how it turned out.

After completing a few projects in our new home in NC, I wanted to take all the wire shelving down in the laundry room and renovate it a little.
​
This sign and shelf behind the washer and dryer were the last parts of the finished product.
